My Personal Driver is committed to the following...
Ensuring that transportation services support the quality of life that we all expect to be able to enjoy as the years pass.
We will do this by ensuring that the features & benefits, and the availability of our services is widely publicized in a variety of media including internet, appropriate local publications, and shared with other providers of services for older adults.
Recognizing that our customers are individuals with varying needs and expectations.
There is a need to ensure that transportation services support the quality of life that we all expect to be able to enjoy as the years pass. We will do this by carefully screening our potential drivers, ensuring that they have or will obtain the following:
- A clean Driver's Abstract
- Current Class 4 Driver's Licence
- Successful completion of an approved Defensive Driving Course, and
- Current First Aid/CPR certification.
We will ensure that our vehicles receive the highest level of preventive maintenance available.
We will ensure that we exceed the minimum level of insurance coverage required.
And, we will undertake to prepare an Annual Safety Report demonstrating effective management and control of driver selection, driver performance, vehicle safety and operational safety as required by the Saskatchewan Highway Safety Board.
Providing our clients with services that respect their dignity and individuality.
We will do this by recognizing that our clients are individuals with varying needs and expectations, and we will endeavor to treat each client as we would expect to be treated, making no assumptions based on gender, age, income, ability, culture, background, etc., rather choosing to actively listen to each client and then customizing our service to his or her particular needs at the time.
Helping to foster independence among older adults.
We will do this by designing our services, keeping in mind that safe and reliable transportation is a key component to being in control of one's life, being able to do as much for oneself as possible and making one's own choices; remaining integrated in society, getting involved, staying active, taking part in the community and being consulted and having one's views considered; being able to pursue opportunities for the full development of one's potential with access to the educational, cultural, spiritual and recreational resources of society. |
