Frequently Asked Questions

HOURS OF OPERATION:

My Personal Driver is a home-based business.  We operate with one vehicle and one driver.

 

Office Hours are

Monday to Friday,

8:00 am to 4:30 pm. 

 

OFFICE is CLOSED evenings, weekends, and holidays.

 

Service Hours are, generally,

Monday to Friday, 

7:00 am to 5:30 pm.

 

We do not operate on Sunday.

Evening, Saturday, and holiday service may be limited or unavailable.  

Please contact us during office hours regarding specific requests.

 

PARCELS:

Your Driver will assist you with packages, luggage, groceries, etc. 

 

However, your Driver has the right to decline your packages if he/she determines that said packages are too numerous, large, and/or heavy to be safely carried to or from the vehicle, and/or safely stowed in the vehicle.

 

WHEELCHAIRS and WALKERS:

At this time, My Personal Driver Inc. does not operate any specially equipped or accessible vehicles to accommodate passengers with wheelchairs. 

 

If you are able to transfer from the wheelchair to the vehicle, in most cases, the wheelchair can be collapsed and carried in the vehicle's cargo area. 

 

This is not possible if there are additional passengers, as the rear seat back must be lowered to accommodate the wheelchair. 

 

Most walkers can be accomodated in the cargo area behind the rear passenger seat.

PAYMENT OPTIONS:

My Personal Driver Inc. accepts the following forms of payment:

  • Apple Pay

 

Monthly billing to your Credit Card is available.  Please request a

Credit Card Authorization Form.

 

Driver carries only a minimal amount of change.

 

My Personal Driver Inc. reserves the right to bill your credit card for the Minimum Service Charge if you do not cancel or become a "no-show".

SMOKING:

Smoking is not permitted in any of our vehicles.

 

PUNCUALITY:

Your Driver will make every reasonable effort to be on time, but occasionally, circumstances beyond our control may result in a minor delay. 

Your Driver will attempt to call you, and inform you if there will be any brief delay. 

Generally, your Driver will arrive at your location, within ten minutes of your reserved start time, and will come to your door to escort you to the vehicle.

 

LOST ARTICLES:

My Personal Driver Inc. is not responsible for personal items left in our vehicles.

In the event that you leave something behind, we will make every reasonable effort to get it back to you.

 

 

 

 

 

BOOKING/RESERVATIONS:

Our office is not regularly staffed. 

When you call, please provide a detailed message and include your name and phone numb.

We will make every effort to return your call, during regular office hours, on the same day you call, or the next business day.

 

ALL trips are scheduled.

My Personal Driver Inc. requires all bookings to be reserved in advance.

 

We prefer that bookings be made at least twenty four (24) hours in advance.

 

We cannot accept bookings requested less than four (4) hours prior to your desired service time.

SERVICE TIME:

There is no meter in our vehicle.  Fees are based on the time that your Driver’s services are required, regardless of the distance travelled.

 

Service Time starts at your confirmed pick-up time or the actual time, whichever is earlier.

 

SERVICE RATES:

MPD charges for Service Time, regardless of distance. 

 

Our Fee is based on a rate of

$80.00 per hour.

A minimum 15-minute booking is required. 

 

Our Minimum Charge is $20.00  

 

Most trips are accommodated within 15 minutes or so.

For consecutive / continuous

Service Time / Fee:

  • 15 minutes / $20.00

  • 20 minutes / $26.50

  • 25 minutes / $33.00

  • 30 minutes / $40.00

  • 35 minutes / $46.50

  • 40 minutes / $53.00

  • 45 minutes / $60.00

  • 50 minutes / $66.50

  • 55 minutes / $73.00

  • 60 minutes / $80.00

  • Fees are current as of January 1, 2024.

  • Fees subject to change without notice.

Your Service Time begins at your requested pick up time or when the vehicle departs from your pick-up location, whichever is earlier, and ends when you arrive at your final destination.

 

An exception to that would be if you request additional assistance during pick-up or drop-off, that time will be charged as part of your Service Time.

 

If paid parking is necessary during your reserved Service Time, whether at a meter, or at a parkade, the cost of parking will be added to your total Service Fee. 

 

There is no charge for additional passengers during the same trip.

 

  • Service Rates are subject to change without notice.

  • Service Rates in effect when your reservation is confirmed will be fully honored.

 

 

SERVICE AREA:

My Personal Driver is located and operates exclusively at

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. 

Saskatoon is our ONLY LOCATION.

 

All trips must originate in Saskatoon.

 

EQUIPMENT:

My Personal Driver Inc. chose the 2017 Gas/Electric Hybrid KIA Niro for its safety, reliability and ease of entry.  The KIA Niro can seat up to four (4) passengers (plus the Driver).

 

 

AIRPORT:

Saskatoon's John G. Diefenbaker International Airport YXE

 

My Personal Driver Is permitted, along with the general public, to drop-off and pick-up passengers at the main curbside terminal entry and exit doors; we are not permitted to leave the vehicle unattended in front of the terminal.

 

  • If you request assistance or accompaniment into or from the terminal, your driver will park in the public lot.  

  • Applicable parking fees may be added to your Service Fee.

  • Please request this additional assistance when you make your initial booking.

 

AIRPORT RATES:

For a trip TO Saskatoon Airport from one (1) pick-up location within our Service Area,

we charge $45.00

 

For a trip FROM Saskatoon Airport to one (1) drop-off location within our Service Area,

we charge $65.00

 

~ SAVE ~

Pre-Book & Pre-Pay both your Departure and Arrival transportation at the same time;

we charge $100.00

 

For additional pick-up or drop-off stops, and/or unusual wait time or delays, we may charge additional fees over-and-above those listed, based on our regular Service Fee of $20.00 per 15-minutes of Service Time.
